Rules, Requirements, and Responsibilities for Data Administration Position
- Write fast, high-performance database queries and/or tune existing queries.
- Query performance tuning/optimization, backup, and recovery, disaster recovery
- Monitor and resolve application slowdowns and poor performance.
- Help developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
- Proactively monitor SQL Server maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
- Analyze, solve, and correct timetables in real-time.
- Provide support to critical production systems.
- Give suggestions for solutions.
Plus Points Requirements
- Performed all aspects of database administration, installation, creation, upgrade, object size, object creation, users, backup/recovery, patching, monitoring, export/import and SQL loader.
- Configure and maintain servers and database processes.
- Willing to learn new technologies.
- Must have relevant work experience in 24/7 operation.
- Make recommendations for system architecture in accordance with Microsoft SQL Server best practices.
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, durability, and security
- Streamline and automate routine processes, track issues, and document changes.

Terms of Database Administration employment:

- Performance tuning and optimization (PTO) experience
- Database administration experience in one of the RDBMSs including MySQL (7+), MS SQL, Server (2016+), and Oracle 12c+
- Deep understanding of database performance monitoring requirements

- Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options, backups, scheduled jobs, etc.
- Previous experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
- DBA, MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus
- Experience with MySQL, and MS-SQL Oracle 10g and higher, including administration and tuning.
- Experience in an advanced procedural language (PL/SQL) and knowledge of data management tools
How Much Experience We Need and Education:
The ideal candidate should be a Bachelor of Computer Science / Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience as a DBA and tools with MySQL, MS-SQL, etc.
