About UHS (Introduction)
On October 2, 2002, the President of Pakistan, who acts as patron of the institution, officially opened the UHS campus. The school's facilities, which have an imposing dome and include a 500-seat Shams Auditorium, dining hall, staff office, Senate Hall and state-of-the-art laboratories, all work together to provide an ideal learning environment. The University of Health Sciences (UHS) in Lahore is an active, research-oriented university with 128 affiliated colleges and institutes and an enrollment of approximately 106,916 undergraduate students and 9,157 postgraduate students. The university was founded in 2002. It was the first university in the province to dedicate itself exclusively to health sciences and was founded with the aim of bringing about an evolution in medical education and research that would be revolutionary both qualitatively and quantitatively.
